Introducing Neu Health’s User-Centric Redesign: A Simpler, Smarter Experience for Accessible Neurology Care
Neu Health is committed to making healthcare more accessible and effective for individuals in the Parkinson’s and dementia communities. Following over 600 hours of direct input from our users, we’re excited to introduce a major redesign of our patient-facing app. This update simplifies key features, improves navigation, and enhances accessibility—helping users manage their health more easily while ensuring clinicians receive high-quality, real-time data.
By making the app more intuitive for users, neurology teams and supporting multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) gain more reliable insights through clinician dashboards. These improvements support proactive, informed care decisions, ultimately leading to better health outcomes.
Smarter Onboarding and Streamlined Experience
Getting started with the app is now easier than ever. The redesigned onboarding process guides users through setting up medications and symptoms with clear, step-by-step instructions. This ensures that key health information is recorded accurately from the start, directly benefiting both individuals and their care teams.
The updated home screen now places the most important activities front and centre, allowing users to see what needs to be done at a glance. There’s no need to search through menus—everything is clearly organised for a smoother, more efficient experience. Navigation has also been simplified, making it easier to move through the app with confidence.
Easier Medication Management
Managing medications is a crucial part of living with Parkinson’s and dementia, and this update makes the process even more straightforward. Logging doses is now faster and easier with simple options like "on time," "now," or "another time," reducing the risk of errors and making it more convenient to track medications throughout the day.
These enhancements don’t just benefit individuals—they also ensure that clinicians receive more accurate, real-time data through their dashboards. With clearer, more reliable medication and symptom logs, neurology teams and MDTs can make proactive adjustments to care plans, providing better support and improving overall health management.
Refined Visual Design and Accessibility
Based on community feedback, we’ve refined the app’s look and feel to improve clarity, readability, and ease of use. Adjustments to colours, font sizes, and layouts ensure that the app is accessible for all users, including those with visual impairments or dexterity challenges.
Beyond accessibility, the app now has a more consistent and intuitive design makes it easier to navigate, helping users feel more confident in managing their health.
Better Data for More Proactive Care
For clinicians, timely and accurate data is essential for providing the best possible care. The improvements in the patient-facing app mean that neurology teams and MDTs now receive more reliable real-time insights through their clinician dashboards.
With a clearer picture of medication adherence and symptom trends, healthcare professionals can make more informed decisions, respond proactively to changes in health, and tailor care strategies to individual needs. These enhancements help streamline patient management, making it easier to monitor progress and identify emerging trends.
Looking Ahead: Ongoing Improvements
This redesign is just the beginning. At Neu Health, we are committed to continuous improvement, listening to feedback, and enhancing the app to better support both individuals and care teams. Future updates will bring even more features designed to simplify health management and improve communication between users and clinicians.
We’re excited about these changes and the positive impact they will have on our Parkinson’s and dementia communities. With a more intuitive, accessible, and data-driven experience, the Neu Health app makes it easier than ever to manage conditions and enable proactive, personalised care.
Thank you to our user communities for shaping this update—we look forward to continuing this journey together!
